Off-page SEO services cover everything that influences your rankings from outside your own website: backlinks from other sites, citations in directories, reviews, mentions of your brand in the press and on social media, and increasingly the sources that AI answer engines quote. Global One Digital runs this work as a monthly program with a fixed price, reported with numbers from Google Search Console and Ahrefs that you can check yourself.

Two pages with near-identical text can sit twenty positions apart. When the text, the structure and the technical base are the same, the difference is what the rest of the web says about each site. Google reads links and mentions as votes, weighted by who is voting. That is the whole reason off-page SEO exists, and the reason it cannot be faked for long.
What is off-page SEO?
Off-page SEO is the set of actions taken outside your site to raise its authority and trust in the eyes of search engines. Backlinks are the best-known part, but the term is wider: a consistent business listing in fifty directories, a stream of reviews on Google and industry platforms, an interview in a trade publication, a founder quoted in a news article, a profile on the sites where your customers already spend time. Each of those is a signal that a real organization stands behind the domain, which is what Google’s E-E-A-T guidelines ask raters to look for.
On-page SEO, by contrast, is what you do on the page itself: titles, headings, text, internal links. Technical SEO is whether Google can crawl and index the site. All three are needed, and the order matters. Links pointed at a page that is thin or blocked from indexing are wasted, so we check the page before we build anything toward it.
What our off-page SEO services include
- Backlink profile audit. An Ahrefs or Semrush export of every referring domain, checked for toxic links, lost links, anchor text distribution and how your profile compares with the three competitors ranking above you. The audit is the first deliverable of every program.
- Editorial link building. Guest articles and expert contributions on sites in your industry, placed through outreach, with the anchor text and the target page chosen to fit the page’s current profile. The method, the donor checks and the volumes are described on the link building page; it is one part of this service rather than the whole of it.
- Citations and directories. Business listings with the same name, address and phone number on the platforms that matter for your country and category. For local businesses this is the fastest visible gain and is coordinated with local SEO.
- Reviews. A process for asking customers for reviews on Google, industry platforms and marketplaces, with a written response template for the ones that come in. We do not buy or write reviews.
- Brand mentions and digital PR. Pitches to trade media, comment contributions, data or expert quotes offered to journalists. Unlinked mentions count as well, and we track them monthly.
- Social profiles. Complete, consistent company profiles on the networks relevant to your market, linked to the site. Social media is not a direct ranking factor, but profiles rank for brand queries and feed AI answers.
- Visibility in AI answers. Checking which sources ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews cite for your queries, and getting your brand onto those sources. The content side of this is described under LLM SEO.
- Monthly report. New referring domains, lost links, brand query impressions in Search Console, review count and rating, and position changes for the target pages.
Off-page SEO and link building: what is the difference
Link building is earning or placing links to specific pages. Off-page SEO is the wider job of making the domain look like a real, referenced business, and links are one of its outputs. The distinction matters for budget. A B2B site that already has a hundred referring domains and no reviews, no press and inconsistent listings needs citations, reviews and PR more than it needs the next hundred links. A new site with three referring domains needs links first.
The backlink audit tells us which case you are in. If the answer is «links», the work moves to the link building program with its own monthly volumes. If the answer is «everything else», the program is built from the other items above. Content marketing on your own site feeds both: pages that get cited are the ones with data, tools or answers nobody else has published.
How we work
- Brief, day 1. Domain, target country, the pages that should earn money, competitors you consider strong, and read-only access to Search Console. Ahrefs data is pulled on our side.
- Backlink and mention audit, days 2 to 5. Referring domains, anchors, toxic links, listing consistency, review inventory, brand mentions, and the sources AI engines quote for your queries. Delivered as a written document with a scored gap list against the competitors.
- Program plan, days 5 to 7. What to do each month for the first quarter: number of editorial placements, directories to claim, review process, PR angles, social profiles to complete. A fixed monthly price is attached.
- Execution, monthly. Outreach and placements, listings claimed and corrected, review requests launched, pitches sent. Every placement is logged with URL, date, anchor and target page.
- Report, the first week of each month. Search Console and Ahrefs numbers compared with the previous month and with the starting point. Adjustments to the next month are written into the same document.
Everything is written. There are no mandatory calls, no percentage of revenue, and no contract locking you in for six months. If the numbers stop moving, you can stop the program the following month.

How we keep off-page SEO safe
Google’s link spam policies are the constraint every off-page program has to work within, and most penalties come from the same shortcuts. We do not use private blog networks, link farms, or the automated «500 backlinks for $50» packages. Every donor site is checked for real traffic, real editorial content and a link profile of its own before an article goes out. Anchor text is spread between brand, URL and descriptive phrases, so that no single exact-match anchor dominates. Sponsored placements are marked as such where the publisher requires it.
The pace is also deliberate. A site that gets 200 links in a week after years of getting two a month looks bought, because it was. Off-page SEO programs are planned in monthly volumes that fit the site’s history, and existing toxic links are handled with a disavow file before new ones are added. Influencer marketing and paid social campaigns can sit alongside the program, but they are a separate budget and are not counted as SEO results.
Pricing
Off-page SEO is sold as a monthly program with a fixed price set after the audit. The price depends on the volume of editorial placements, the number of markets and languages, and whether reviews and PR are included. There is no charge per link and no percentage of revenue.
The backlink audit is available on its own as part of the fixed-price SEO audit, delivered in writing within 48 hours. Small businesses get citations, reviews and a set link volume inside the monthly SEO care plans, with no contract term. B2B and SaaS companies in Europe are quoted from the pricing page. Send the domain and the target country by email to get a number.
Who this is for, and who it is not for
Off-page SEO services fit companies whose pages are already sound and whose competitors have visibly stronger link profiles: B2B and SaaS firms competing in the US and Europe, local service businesses that need listings and reviews to appear in the map pack, online stores whose category pages stall on page two, and digital marketing agencies looking for a partner to run the off-site work for their clients.
It is not a fit for a site that has not fixed its pages. If titles are wrong, content is thin and half the site is blocked from crawling, links will not rescue it, and the audit will say so. It is also not for anyone who wants a guaranteed number of positions per month. Authority builds unevenly, and the honest promise is a fixed volume of work and a report you can verify.
Measuring off-page SEO
Four numbers, tracked monthly, tell you whether an off-page SEO program works. Referring domains in Ahrefs, counting only sites with their own traffic. Brand query impressions in Search Console, which grow when people see your company elsewhere and search for it by name. Review count and average rating on Google and the industry platforms. And the average position of the target pages for the queries the program is built around. Domain authority scores from tools are shown for context, but they are estimates, and they are not what Google uses to decide search engine rankings.
The published case studies on this site, such as the construction company that reached 40 queries in the top 10 with 13 times more clicks over 12 months, show the reporting format every client gets: Search Console screenshots, month by month, with the changes that were made written next to them.
Frequently asked questions about off-page SEO
What is the difference between on-page and off-page SEO?
On-page SEO is what you change on your own pages: titles, headings, text, internal links, schema. Off-page SEO is what other sites say about yours: links, citations, reviews, mentions. On-page decides whether a page is relevant; off-page decides whether it is trusted enough to rank above equally relevant pages.
How long does off-page SEO take to show results?
Citations and reviews can change local visibility within a few weeks. Editorial links usually take two to three months to be crawled, weighed and reflected in positions. A program is judged after a quarter rather than a month, and the monthly report shows the leading indicators before rankings move.
Are backlinks still important in 2026?
Yes. Google has reduced the weight of links compared with ten years ago and became better at ignoring paid ones, but links from real sites in your industry still separate pages with equal content. What changed is that quantity stopped working and relevance started to matter more.
Do social media signals affect rankings?
Not directly. Likes and shares are not ranking factors. Social profiles do rank for brand searches, drive the traffic that leads to natural links, and are among the sources AI engines read when they describe a company. We complete and maintain them for that reason, without selling social media management.
Can I do off-page SEO myself?
Citations, review requests and social profiles, yes; they take time rather than skill. Editorial outreach and PR are harder to do alone because they need a list of vetted sites, writers, and a steady pace. Many clients keep the first group in-house and hire us for the second.
What about links we already bought from someone else?
Send the list. The audit classifies every existing link as keep, ignore or disavow, and the disavow file is submitted before the program starts. Bad links are more often ignored by Google than penalized these days, but a site with a manual action needs the cleanup first.
For a fixed quote, email info@development-web.com with your domain and target country, or order a written audit first and see where your link profile stands against the competitors.
