Local SEO is the discipline of ranking in geographically-bound searches: queries that include a city/region (e.g. «SEO agency London») or queries that Google interprets as local-intent based on the user’s location («SEO agency near me»). The ranking signals are different from generic SEO — Google Business Profile, NAP citations, local schema, review velocity and map pack visibility all matter alongside traditional backlinks and content.
Our local SEO packages run from a single Google Business Profile to multi-location and enterprise programmes; scope and price scale with the number of locations and target cities.
When local SEO is the right strategy
Local SEO matters if any of these apply:
- You have a physical office or service area buyers care about (B2B services often qualify even without consumer foot traffic).
- Your buyers add a city or region to their search («accountants in Manchester», «SEO agency in Berlin»).
- You serve specific countries / regions and want regional Google to treat you as local.
- You operate multiple locations and need a multi-location SEO strategy.
For pure-online B2B SaaS sold globally, local SEO is usually not the right focus. For B2B services with country-based offices or service areas, it is critical.
Our local SEO methodology
- Google Business Profile optimisation — fully-completed profile, accurate categories, services list, business description, hours, photos, posts cadence. For multi-location businesses: one GBP per physical location.
- NAP citations audit and cleanup — Name, Address, Phone consistency across major directories (Yelp, Yellow Pages, country-specific equivalents). Inconsistent NAP across directories suppresses local rankings.
- Local schema markup — LocalBusiness, ProfessionalService, Organisation with address, geo coordinates, opening hours, service area. Validated against Google’s Rich Results Test.
- Review management — review request workflow, response templates, monitoring across Google, industry-specific platforms (Clutch, G2 for B2B). Reviews matter for ranking AND conversion.
- Local link building — links from country/region-relevant publications, local chambers of commerce where applicable, industry associations with regional chapters.
- Local content — content addressing region-specific buyer concerns, market conditions, regulatory environment.
The map pack vs the local pack vs the 3-pack
Three terms for the same thing — the 3-result «map pack» that appears at the top of local-intent SERPs. Ranking in the map pack matters because:
- It sits above all blue-link results — visibility is immediate.
- It includes ratings, photos, hours — trust signals before the click.
- It captures mobile users who often don’t scroll past the map pack.
Map pack ranking signals are heavily weighted toward proximity (where the searcher is), prominence (how well-known the business is), and relevance (how well GBP categories match the query). Optimising for all three is what we ship.
Multi-location local SEO
For businesses with 2+ locations, the strategy splits:
- One Google Business Profile per physical location. No exceptions.
- Location landing pages — one page per city/region with unique content, local NAP, local schema. Generic «We serve X cities» pages don’t rank.
- Citation consistency across all locations — every location needs its own citations on major directories.
- Review distribution — review requests routed per location, not centralised.
- Localised content per market — case studies featuring local clients where possible, regional team photos, local language for international locations.
Industries where local SEO matters most
- Professional services with country offices — accounting, legal, consulting, marketing agencies.
- Healthcare and medical practices — patient acquisition is highly geographic.
- Real estate — every search is location-specific.
- Home services — plumbing, cleaning, construction, landscaping.
- Multi-location retail and hospitality.
- B2B service businesses with regional offices — agencies, IT services, consulting firms.

Frequently asked questions
How long until we see local SEO results? Google Business Profile improvements can show results in 2-4 weeks. Citation cleanup and review accumulation take 2-3 months. Map pack ranking for competitive queries: 3-6 months.
Does local SEO work without a physical office? Service Area Businesses (SABs) can use GBP without a physical office — they specify service area instead of address. This is appropriate for home services, mobile services, regional B2B services. We help configure SAB profiles correctly.
Are negative reviews a problem? Less than perfect reviews are normal and Google treats them more credibly than 100% 5-star profiles. We work on response templates for negative reviews and on improving review velocity over time.
What if our locations are in different countries? Each country gets its own GBP, local citations from country-specific directories, content in the local language, and country-specific link building. Same methodology, applied per country.
Do you handle Yandex Maps for CIS markets? No. We exclude Russia and Belarus per company policy. For other CIS markets (Georgia, Armenia, Kazakhstan), Google dominates so we handle GBP without needing Yandex.
