Marketplace SEO Services That Get Listings Found Inside the Platform

Marketplace SEO services are for sellers whose product sits on page three of Etsy or eBay search while a near-identical item from a competitor gets the sale. Every marketplace runs its own search engine with its own ranking rules and its own idea of what a good listing looks like. Global One Digital optimizes product cards and category placement inside those platforms: Etsy, eBay and Walmart for the US and Europe, Trendyol and Hepsiburada in Turkey, Kaspi in Kazakhstan and Uzum in Uzbekistan. Amazon has enough quirks to deserve its own page, so it lives at Amazon SEO. Everything below is about the other platforms.

Marketplace SEO Services That Get Listings Found Inside the Platform

What marketplace SEO is, and why Google habits break on it

Marketplace SEO is the work of getting a product card or a category to rank in the search box of the marketplace itself. The platform’s search does not care about backlinks or domain age. It ranks on how well the title and attributes match the query, and then on how shoppers behave: click-through rate, conversion, returns, review score, shipping speed and stock. A listing with a strong sales history keeps its position even when a newer, better-written listing appears below it.

That is the main difference from classic SEO for a website. On Google you can outrank a bigger competitor with better content and links. On a marketplace, content gets you into the candidate set and sales metrics decide the order. So the job splits in two: write the card so the algorithm can match it to real buyer queries, then fix whatever hurts conversion once the card is shown. Price, first photo, delivery promise and review count matter as much as keywords do.

There is a second layer most sellers forget. Google indexes marketplace pages as well. An Etsy listing or a Kaspi product card can rank in Google for a long-tail query and bring traffic the platform’s own search would never give you. Titles and descriptions that read like human language pick up this traffic on their own. Keyword-stuffed ones do not.

Which marketplaces we work with

Etsy, eBay and Walmart

Etsy gives you a 140-character title, 13 tags, a set of attributes and a description. Etsy SEO is mostly about spreading distinct buyer phrases across the tags instead of repeating one word, then keeping the listing alive with steady sales. eBay SEO works differently: the 80-character title and the item specifics feed Cassini, eBay’s search engine, and missing item specifics are the single most common reason a listing never shows up in filtered results. Walmart grades each listing with a listing quality score visible in Seller Center. We bring cards to the score that lets them compete for the buy box and for category pages.

Trendyol and Hepsiburada

The Turkish platforms rank on product attributes and on the seller score, which includes cancellation and late-shipment rates. A perfect title cannot rescue a seller with a poor score, so an audit here starts with operations data and only then moves to Turkish titles and attribute completeness. Our own languages are English and Russian; Turkish copy goes through a native editor before upload. For brands entering Turkey through a marketplace before building a local site, this is usually the cheaper first step, and international SEO for the site can follow later.

Kaspi and Uzum

Kaspi in Kazakhstan and Uzum in Uzbekistan are younger platforms, and listing quality across sellers is uneven, which means a well-structured card gets visibility cheaply. On Kaspi, offers from different sellers are merged under one product card, so your price position inside that card matters more than any text you write. Uzum still lets sellers create their own cards, which makes category choice and attribute filling the main levers. Russian covers most shoppers on both; local-language fields are added where the platform asks for them.

Amazon

Amazon is a separate service with its own page, because A9 ranking, backend search terms, A+ content and the interaction with Sponsored Products need more than a paragraph. See Amazon SEO services if that is your main channel.

Common problems we find in marketplace listings

The same mistakes show up on every platform. Etsy tags that repeat the title word for word instead of adding new phrases. eBay listings with three item specifics filled out of fifteen, invisible to anyone who uses the filter sidebar. Products placed in a parent category because the seller never scrolled to the right subcategory. Descriptions pasted from the supplier, identical to twenty other sellers. A first image with text on it that becomes unreadable at thumbnail size on a phone. Variations of one product split into separate listings that compete with each other and split the sales history.

None of these need a big budget to fix. They need someone to go through the catalog listing by listing, which is most of what marketplace SEO services actually are.

What is included in marketplace SEO services

  • Search audit of your current listings: which queries each card is shown for, where it ranks inside the platform, and where it loses clicks to the sellers above it.
  • Keyword research from the marketplace’s own suggest data, filters and competitor titles, with Google volumes only as a secondary signal.
  • Title, bullet and attribute rewrite for every product, written in English and Russian by our team and in Turkish, Kazakh or Uzbek with native editors.
  • Category and filter mapping: each product placed where shoppers actually browse, with every filterable attribute filled.
  • Image brief per product type: what the first photo must show, what the comparison graphic should contain, what shoppers on that platform expect to see before they tap.
  • Review and rating plan inside the platform’s rules: follow-up messages, package inserts where allowed, a procedure for answering negative reviews.
  • Monthly report: position of each tracked listing for its target queries, impressions and conversion from the seller dashboard, and the next batch of actions.
What is included in marketplace seo services

Two things are outside the scope: paid ads on the marketplace and inventory management. Etsy Ads, eBay Promoted Listings or Walmart Connect can be set up on request and reported separately, and the audit will say plainly when a listing problem is really a pricing or stock problem.

How we work

  1. Audit, 48 hours. You send seller panel access or a list of listing URLs. You get a written document: which listings rank for what, why the competitors above you win, and a prioritized fix list. Everything is by email or WhatsApp; a call is optional.
  2. Keyword map, week one. Each product gets its query cluster, its target category and a draft title. You approve or comment in writing.
  3. Rewrite and upload, weeks two to four. Listings are rewritten in batches of 20 to 50 and uploaded through the seller panel or a bulk file, so you can check the first batch before the rest goes live.
  4. Measurement, from month two. Positions inside the platform are checked weekly, sales and conversion monthly. Listings that gained visibility but not sales get a photo and price review.
  5. Ongoing, monthly. New products, seasonal titles, and reaction to platform changes such as Etsy’s ranking updates or new required item specifics on eBay.
marketplace seo services: how we work, step by step

Marketplace for volume, your own store for margin

A marketplace hands you shoppers who are already searching for the product. It also takes a commission on every sale, owns the customer’s email address and can change its rules overnight. Sellers who do best over several years run both channels: marketplaces for volume and discovery, an own store for repeat orders where the margin stays with them.

We build that second channel too. Online store development gets the shop live, and e-commerce SEO gets it ranking in Google. One e-commerce client that scaled content on their own site reached 320,580 impressions and 5,993 clicks from Google in a quarter; the numbers are in the case study. Marketplace listings do not compound that way, because the platform keeps the traffic and the customer.

Pricing

Marketplace SEO is priced per month at a fixed rate, based on the number of listings and platforms. There is no percentage of your sales and no six-month contract. A store with up to a few hundred listings on one platform fits into our SEO care plans: in the US that is $350, $600 or $1,200 a month depending on scope, with prices for other countries shown on the page. Sellers on several platforms or brands with thousands of SKUs get a custom quote after the audit. The audit itself is a fixed-price product, a page or full-store audit delivered in writing within 48 hours, $149 or $399 for US clients.

Who marketplace SEO services are for, and who should not order them

A good fit: sellers with a catalog of 30 or more products, sales history on at least one platform, and a margin that survives a commission. Brands entering Turkey, Kazakhstan or Uzbekistan through a local marketplace instead of building a local site. Russian-speaking founders selling in the US or EU who want listings written by people who read both markets without a translator in between.

A poor fit: a single handmade item with no repeat production, dropshippers who compete on price alone, and sellers whose account health is below the platform threshold because of late shipments or cancellations. In that last case the audit will say so and suggest fixing operations first. No listing rewrite outranks a restricted account.

Frequently asked questions about marketplace SEO

How long does marketplace SEO take to show results?

Inside the platform, a rewritten listing usually gets new impressions within a week or two, since marketplace search re-indexes quickly. Conversion and sales history take longer to build, so stable positions typically show after two to three months of steady sales. Google traffic to your listings, if it comes, takes the usual three to six months.

Is marketplace SEO the same as Etsy SEO or eBay SEO?

Etsy SEO and eBay SEO are marketplace SEO applied to one platform. The principles overlap: title relevance, attribute completeness, conversion signals. The mechanics differ. Etsy leans on tags and listing freshness, eBay on item specifics and seller performance. Each platform is treated as its own project with its own keyword source.

Can you write listings in Turkish, Kazakh or Uzbek?

Our team writes natively in English and Russian. For Turkish and other languages, native editors do the final pass on titles and descriptions while our side handles keyword research, structure and attribute mapping. Russian alone reaches a large share of Kaspi and Uzum shoppers; local-language fields are added where the platform requires them.

Do you also manage ads on the marketplace?

On request. Etsy Ads, eBay Promoted Listings and Walmart Connect can run alongside the organic work. They are reported separately so you can see what the organic listings bring on their own.

What if my listings rank but do not sell?

Then the problem is not search. The audit compares your price with the top ten results, checks first-image quality, review count and delivery promise, and names the likely blocker. Sometimes the honest answer is that the product is priced above what that platform’s shoppers pay, and no amount of optimization changes that.

Should I keep my own website if I sell on marketplaces?

Yes, if you have repeat customers or a brand people search by name. The marketplace owns the buyer; your site owns the relationship. Run marketplaces for reach and the store for margin, and connect them: the same product names in both places, brand inserts in packages, and SEO for the store so branded searches land on you rather than on a reseller.

Do you work with marketplace SEO for services, like freelancer platforms?

Occasionally, and the logic is the same: profile title, category, tags and completed-order history. Most of our marketplace work is physical products, and the pricing above assumes product listings. Ask, and we will say whether your platform is one we can measure properly.

If you want to know where your listings actually stand, send the store links to info@development-web.com or order a written audit. It arrives within 48 hours and states, listing by listing, what to change and why. You will not need to book a call unless you want one.
