Meta Title Checker
Title tag is the strongest on-page ranking signal. This tool checks length in characters, estimated pixel width (Google truncates around 580px on desktop), word count, and shows a live SERP preview. Warnings flag titles that are too short, too long, contain multiple pipes, or use spammy punctuation patterns.
Aim for 45-60 characters. Below 30 characters Google often rewrites your title because there is not enough context. Above 60 characters, Google truncates with an ellipsis in SERP. The sweet spot for most B2B pages is 50-58 characters.
Google's SERP container has a fixed pixel width (around 580px for desktop, 670px for tablet). Wide characters like M and W take more pixels than narrow ones like i and l. Two titles with the same character count can render very differently. Our pixel estimate uses an average character width.
Title tag is the single strongest on-page ranking signal in Google's algorithm. Words near the start of the title carry more weight. Including your primary keyword early in the title (without keyword stuffing) is one of the highest-leverage on-page optimisations available.
Title tag appears in browser tabs, SERP listings, and social shares. H1 is the visible main heading on the page. They can be different — per Markin methodology, title tag is keyword-rich (longer), H1 is a clean 3-5 word marker. Both should reference the same primary keyword cluster.
